Well if his girlfriend hates you and no longer wishes to talk to you, I’d be pretty excited for them to break up. If they seem like they’ll break up soon, just got on his good side, be his best friend,& somewhat flirt with him to keep the tension going.
When he does break with her, it’d be easy to grab him after a month or so.
If he’s the closest thing you’ve felt to love, then just go for it, make him know you love him, and he’ll prolly do the same, then its all you from there. Just whatever you think is right, but that is what I would do.

Okay so me and a really good guy friend have liked each other a lot since seventh grade. At the beginning of this school year he started going out with my best friend at the time. thats when i realized i loved him…
So because of this new girlfriend, our relationship obviously ended along with our friendship.
We started talking a few months ago because of a wierd mix up in our science class, and suddenly we both realized how much we’d missed eachother. We started texting and passing notes, but it was strictly a friend relationship, we both knew that. We agreed that it was good enough that we were back in eachother’s lives. So one day we were walking home together from school. It was within the last week that this became a habit of ours. So we were walking talking and laughing our way home (living in the same neighborhood and all) and it wasn’t a big deal. The next day, his girlfriend flipped out on the both of us, and she’s hated me ever since. She thinks that i may be out to steal her boyfriend back. At the time i thought that was rediculous. I mean, we had been in the closest thing to love i have ever felt…but could it be reapearing in my heart, deep down? I honestly have no idea what to do. Him and his girlfriend are fighting alot, and they’ve recently been haveing some close calls on breaking up. He and i have been hanging out and having such a good time. We’ve been flirting alot, like earlier today we were hanging out on the beach nearby a lake by my house, and tackling eachother in the water. Not just once or twice; it was almost the entire time. We were laughing so hard our stomachs ached when we finnaly got to tired to wrestle anoymore. When we collapsed on the sand, there was a moment. He looked into my eyes and i looked into his and it was then that i saw all of the hesitation deep within his expression. It was then that i noticed the fact that he wanted to kiss me. Right there. Laying on the warm, rough sand. with only the sound of our heavy breathing. Nothing but half a foot of sand stretching between us. I could feel almost feel the warmth of his lips on mine when he looked down to the sand between us. I closed my eyes, afraid that the fact that my heart was clenched so painfully i could hardly breath would show if he looked into my eyes again. so i beg you-

long stroy short, what im really asking is this-
1.I have a history with my guy friend who i trust so much it’s insane.
2.He has a girlfriend who is extremely obbsessed with him and may claw my eyes out.
3.I have feelings for him and i think he may have some for me, deep inside, although he probably would not admit it outloud
4.I don’t know what to do. My heart tells me to let him know how i feel, but i fear rejection. My mind tells me to wait till i have my chance, but i fear that day may come too late.
5.Did i mention that he’s a very attractive, incredible, amazing, trustworthy guy who stands up for me to his friends and also who i think deserves more than the girl he is currently with?
