Is there any chance of getting my ex-girlfriend back?

I’m 22 and I dated my 21 year old girlfriend for a year and a half until she recently broke up with me saying that her feelings toward me had changed. She says that she still loves me, cares about me, and wants to remain friends so she can still know how I am and what’s going on in my life. This is confusing because she also told me there was no chance of us ever being in a relationship again. I’ve been trying to improve myself and work on the things she told me were the reasons for her change of heart but I think it’s probably too late. I know she told me flat out that there was no chance of getting back together, but her other comments have me holding out for a little hope. I realize every relationship is different, but is this a tactic girls often use to try to get their guys to change? Is there no hope?
*I’d prefer a female perspective on the issue but all comments are welcome. Thank you*
This might be a little tricky. If a girl breaks up with you because of a change of feelings, I’m not so sure that there’s a way to get her back if she likes someone else, or etc. I suggest trying to be her friend and just hanging out with her and just be cool. Don’t push it by trying to get into a relationship again, let her take the initiative and maybe she’ll see that she misses your relationship and will make a move. Otherwise, you just got to take a deep breath and move on. :/ Good luck

i need some ideas on hwo to get my girlfriend back. We had ot break up about a month ago cause her parents found out we had sex. Since then, i havent really tried to talk to her so they could have space from me. But today, she told me that they think i’ve moved on and only cared about the sex cause i havent tried talking to her. I need some help on finding good ways to show i really care about her. Without talking to her parents yet, i need some things to do. Like cute things like notes or leaving stuff for them to see. SO they know that i havent moved on from her cause i havent. Shes perfect for me and she fits everything i want. We both want to be back together but her parents are stopping that. So again i need some good ideas to show them i dont wanna move on. If i dont, i’m gunna lose my best friend and my GF
Don’t fool around with signs, cute stuff or notes. They are only going to insult them more and make them put a guard around her even more. You need to speak with them.
Go over there, knock on the door and ask if you may speak with them because it is very important. And them tell them how you are really sorry for what you did (you don’t need to feel sorry for the sex but feel sorry for the deception). Tell them that you really love their daughter and how really badly you feel about having deceived them. Assure them that it won’t happen again but that you would really like to see their daughter without having to sneak around to do it. Tell them that you are not going to simply go away and disappear and that you would like to be a part of their daughter’s life because you love her. Ask them to think back to when they were young and how foolish kids can be but how in love they can feel too. Ask them to please not make a decision now but to think about it. Then come back the next day and see if they will accept you seeing their daughter. If they do great. But if they don’t, then you will just have to sneak around with her because that is what they are asking for after a young man spilled his guts and was honest with them.
If they won’t speak with you, write it down in a letter. But you must try to do this in person or they will think you are a coward and rightfully so if you avoid them.

My girlfriend of a year and a half and I recently broke things off. It’s been a couple months and I finally realized what I had. We would often talk about getting married, having kids, so it was a serious relationship. I’ve tried everything from sending flowers to writing letters expressing how much she meant to me and how things can be different. Anyone have any other ideas? I’m definetly not smothering her. I maybe call her a couple times a week. We’re both in our mid 20’s.
Does she call you? Maybe she feels overwhelmed or unsure. Start talking to her in person and ask her out on a friendly date. Take things slow.
