Anybody have any stories about actually getting an ex-girlfriend back?

Wow. Still depressed after this after 8 months. I have sent her the occasional email/call and tried to include her in stuff. The last time she talked she wanted to meet to exchange some stuff, but I got fed up with finding a time to meet so I just gave it to a friend of ours. Should I call her on her birthday? Its coming up in a few weeks.
Chief, I know it hurts, but move one with your life. The best way to get over a chick is to find another one. 8 months is a long time. My wife and separated 8 months ago, 6 months ago I got involved with another woman and it helps me tremendously. I still miss my wife, but I have to live in the present, not in the past. I feel ya though.

Yeah, um, my girlfriend broke up with me yesterday. She said that she only went out with me because she wanted to see me happy and not upset. (Yeah, I’m REAL happy now.) But it hurts being without her and I want her back. I’m not sure how I should get her back. Help please?
Sorry to hear about your breakup man.
I would first give her a little time, as well as yourself. You need to analyze this relationship and see if it is something that you even want to be involved with in the first place.
After a week or two, try contacting her again. Heck, even try seeing other women and play the "jealousy" game to see if she gets upset. If she does, she’s still on to you.

We went out for a year, and broke up about 2 weeks ago because she was upset (not with me) quite a bit in the last two months. She thought it was hurting all the time. She wants to talk and hang out tomorrow.
She wants to be friends still… But I have no idea how should go about getting her back.. I don’t know whether to tell her I still have feelings for her on the first day or get used to hanging out again first. What should I do?
