Anybody have any stories about actually getting an ex-girlfriend back?
Wow. Still depressed after this after 8 months. I have sent her the occasional email/call and tried to include her in stuff. The last time she talked she wanted to meet to exchange some stuff, but I got fed up with finding a time to meet so I just gave it to a friend of ours. Should I call her on her birthday? Its coming up in a few weeks.
Chief, I know it hurts, but move one with your life. The best way to get over a chick is to find another one. 8 months is a long time. My wife and separated 8 months ago, 6 months ago I got involved with another woman and it helps me tremendously. I still miss my wife, but I have to live in the present, not in the past. I feel ya though.

I see all you fresh-faced kidlets, sitting there in your neat little rows, and you’re all just pods. Pods, waiting for your instructions. Now, some of you are gonna get zapped right away and be 15-year-old prodigies, little midget Olympic gymnasts with their pictures on cereal boxes. Some of you will go on to college, and you’ll find your rhythm there, then go chase down the titans of industry, or maybe straighten out our problems at the UN. But some of you, and this is the group that no one ever comes into Career Day and addresses, and it’s criminal. Some of you are just gonna float along, eating spicy foods, humming black people’s music into your 30s. Well into your 30s, languishing. This group of pods is gonna do a lot of languishing. And you’re gonna take some heat for it. Sadly, you will. Europe’s a little easier. They seem to understand a little better. So does South America. I went to Argentina one time, and everyone seemed to be sitting around. It was beautiful. But, that’s okay. You stay loose. Stay liquid. Laugh a lot. But be ready. That’s what Paprockis doing with his life’s little pod. Staying nimble, till I get the call from the mother ship. My raison d’etat. Then I fight. Then you’ll see Paprocki coming in here throwing seven different kinds of smoke!

if you really want her back…find out what went wrong and try to reconcille it. My husband and I went through this. He got me back after many hard problems. He changed and so did I. Just keep in contact with her too.

Well your never going to get her back if you keep pursuing her like you are. You should start talking to another girl, maybe this will make her want you again. Also you might find you like the new girl better. If i were you i wouldn’t even worry about your ex.

Dude its an urban legend. I’ve never seen it happen before, but I’ve seen some good tries. Give her the call and go for the gold and don’t look back, just don’t regret it whatever you do.

Ask yourself why you two broke up in the first place. If you think its something you can work past then pursue her.
Definitely send her roses on her birthday or b 4! Roses represent love. Write a sweet short poem on the card. Let her know how you feel.
Be honest w/ yourself and her…and you can’t go wrong! How is she gonna know how you feel unless you tell her! Actions speak louder than words! Remember that! If you say your gonna do something..do it!

Do you know why she doesn’t want to get back with you? Or, why did she break up with you? If you aren’t sure, next time that you call her, ask her. But, if you do know, then, try to fix those things. If you really want her back, then, you would do this! Yes, calling her on her Birthday would be nice. Also, tell her that you are willing to change anything in the past, that she didn’t like, and do more of things that she did like! This should work! I know that my ex-boyfriend is going through the same thing as you! He wants me back, but, he likes stuff that I don’t like (hunting, says bad words ect.). Yea I have a story for you. Once upon a time there was this wimp who wore a skirt and thought he was a man. He wanted to win the love of a lost love by acting like a total sap. Time after time there was rejection after rejection and the only thing that grew stronger was the seem on his girdle. One day everything snaped and he cried like a little b*tch until he finally realized it is time to move on.

Most definitely you should call her on her birthday, plus you should send her a card. American Greetings has some nice E-cards, or drop by your local Hallmark and pick up a nice one to snail mail. Include a hand-written personalized note inside (you can do that with E-cards, too).
But it sounds like maybe she’s moving on. Be prepared to settle in and start getting past this; you may have to move on, as well.
But definitely send the card and when you call, ask if she wants to go out for dinner or whatever to celebrate her birthday (don’t use "whatever" in your invitation).
